“What we are is God’s gift to us, what we become is our gift to God.” Eleanor Powell.

What does one look for when deciding on a school for your child in South Africa? Many believe that results and academic achievement play a huge role in their decision. Yes, results are very important and certainly contribute to the success of a school but, more importantly, one need to investigate how these learners, once they leave our school, adapt to the demands of the secondary school, to social norms and practices and to societal integration. The strength of our school lies in the ability to challenge a learner academically and to ensure that each day is a learning experience for him or her. We believe that, as we strive for excellence and develop the potential of each learner through a dynamic curriculum, we are also educating young South Africans to transform our country into a truly peaceful and productive nation. The greatest advertisement for a school is not what the learners achieve, but what they become.
We develop and encourage friendliness, positive discipline, excellence and creative thinking. A balanced educational environment in which extra-mural activities, such as sport and culture, can be enjoyed, while not losing sight of the core essence of a typical school – successful learning.
Education must continually be relevant; change is therefore imperative from time to time. HPS will always strive to provide a balanced education in an age of change. This we will achieve with the help of our parents.
The future starts here!
